State Employment

Internship Opportunities

Pennsylvania WIC Internship Opportunities offer hands-on participation in a premier public health nutrition education program and provide supervised learning and career experiences in the following tracks:

  • Business & Information Systems: Majors include Accounting, Business, Computer and Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Information Sciences and Technology, Social Data Analytics, and Statistics.
  • Business Management: Majors include Business Management, Human Resources, Political Science, and Sociology.
  • Criminal Justice & Program Integrity: Majors include Criminology/Criminal Justice, Security and Risk Analysis, and Cyber Security.
  • Marketing: Majors include Marketing, Communications, Journalism, and Graphic Design.
  • Nutrition: Majors include Physician Assistant, Nursing, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
  • Public Health and Social Work: Majors include Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Health and Human Development, and Health Services.

  2. The majors accepted are not limited to the majors provided under each track.

Through our internship program, you will:

  • Make a difference for nutritionally at-risk pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children up to age 5.
  • Apply your knowledge in a professional setting while still completing your academic degree.
  • Explore field and/or clinic work experiences at locations across Pennsylvania.
  • Gain valuable knowledge working alongside public health professionals.

Dietetic Internship Opportunities

The PA WIC Dietetic Internship provides an opportunity for PA WIC local agency employees who have met the eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitians to participate in an ACEND accredited program that engages them in core competencies through a supervised practice program.
